St Davids Day Celebrations at The Old Vic

Residents of The Old Vicarage Care Home, our residential nursing home in Kettering, celebrated St David's Day in style by enjoying an afternoon tea filled with tasty treats. St David's Day, the national day of Wales, is celebrated on the first of March each year, and the residents were keen to commemorate the day.

The care home staff worked hard to create a lovely atmosphere by decorating the communal areas with daffodils, the national flower of Wales. The afternoon tea was a highlight of the day, with residents enjoying a spread of Welsh cakes alongside an array of delicious sweet and savoury snacks. A huge thank you to our lovely cook who put together a fantastic spread.

For many of the residents, St David's Day holds a special significance, as it is a chance to celebrate Welsh identity and share any memories they have of time spent in Wales over the years. The afternoon tea was a huge success and everybody had a great time enjoying great food and excellent company.
