The Old Vicarage Care Home Halloween Fun
Here at The Old Vic Care Home we hold numerous events throughout the year to entertain our nursing home residents, having fun days together – everyday! As well as encouraging staff, we encouraged both residents and residents’ families to dress up and join in the Halloween fun with prizes on offer for the best efforts.
Our care home in Northants was decorated to create a spooky atmosphere, with entertainment from local female vocalist Jenny who is a familiar and popular face here. We all had a good old sing along too, with some resident’s taking to the mic! Halloween cakes and goodies were offered to all, with a glass of mulled wine to warm everybody up on a cold autumn day here in Weekley, Kettering.
The winners of the fancy dress were: best dressed resident David, best dressed staff member Sharon, David’s Family also won for best dressed Family, and we had a little surprise for the Granddaughter of one of our staff who stole the show!!
Our day was a great success, and we all enjoyed the time together. It’s not all work and no play here, were one big family!
Our next event is 9th November and we will be raising much needed funds for The Royal British Legion, do join us for another great day at The Old Vic care home.
