The Old Vicarage Care Home Armistice Day Tribute
To mark Armistice Day, The Old Vicarage Care Home are hosting a coffee afternoon with all proceeds being donated to The Royal British Legion. The Royal British Legion are such a great charity to fundraise for, they provide lifelong support for our service men and women in the armed forces.
As a tribute to those that fought hard to change our world our nursing home in Northampton has created a fantastic wall display filled with family stories, handmade poppies, photo’s and poems.
Some of the fascinating stories include Sam the unsinkable cat and Mr Walter Tull the British Army officer who was the third person of mixed heritage to play in the top division of the football league.
To help raise much needed funds for The Royal British Legion we will be selling poppies including our own handmade poppies and everyone is welcome to join us for the tribute on 9th November.
